Redmi A1 India launch date was scheduled to be September 6th, the company announced on Friday. The new handset from the company will run an unidentified MediaTek chipset and provide a "clean Android experience", according to a microsite dedicated to Redmi A1. The microsite for Redmi A1 shows the phone with two cameras on the rear. The handset is also expected to feature a rear panel textured with leather. It will run on a mAh battery of 5,000mAh as per Redmi.



Its Xiaomi affiliate announced on Twitter it was launching the Redmi A1 will be found at the launch in India on September 6, 12 noon. In addition, a dedicated website for the phone is available on the company's website which reveals some of the specs of the coming Redmi A1, which is said to come with a mAh battery of 5,000mAh. It is powered by an unspecified MediaTek processor and will provide the user with a "clean Android experience".

The Redmi A1 will sport a dual rear AI camera that includes the LED flash. According to the site's landing page, the back of the phone will have a leather appearance. The phone will be available in at least three colors. Redmi is yet to release additional details, such as the price for India of the new phone. The company claims that Redmi A1 will be part of the 'Diwali with Mi' series of launches.

According to the earlier report in the past, according to an earlier report, the Redmi A1 has been spotted on the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database as well as on the Geekbench benchmarking site. It was reported to have appeared in the US FCC database under its model code 220733SL. This Redmi A1 is tipped to be powered by a MediaTek Helio SoC.


It's reported to be 164.67mm across as well as 76.56mm across. The Geekbench report of the phone has indicated that it might have 3GB of RAM and runs Android 12 straight out of the box. The Redmi A1 has been spotted in the Bureau of Indian Standards database also, as per the report. The phone was identified with the model number 220733SI.
